Most of us are probably familiar with the old saying, “If it ain't broke, don't fix it.” However, it seems the engineers at Titleist have never heard it before because they went and changed the most successful design in golf ball history...sort of. Actually, the new Pro V1, which is said to provide even more distance than previous models, has really just been tweaked a bit. Among the changes is a new, faster core formulation—which is geared toward longer driving distance—and a speed-enhancing and spin-controlling ionomer casing. The only other change of note is a new 392 multi-dimple, high-coverage, icosahedral dimple design. |
